Gloria Marie Eaton

Gloria Marie Eaton, 79, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Westwood Hills Healthcare Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Eaton was born July 23, 1927, in Poplar Bluff to the late Oscar and Mildred (Beuhler) Weber. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and retired from the administrative office of Kneibert Clinic. Mrs. Eaton enjoyed spending time and socializing with her family, especially her grandchildren and her friends. She was also an avid reader.

On October 10, 1946, she married Hovie Wilburn Eaton. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1992.

Survivors include her daughter Cindy McGowen, of Independence; four grandchildren Jeremy McGowen and wife Sarah, Courtney Krupp and husband Nathan, Dylan McGowen and Shane Eaton and wife Tina; one great-grandchild Jackson McGowen; and a sister Pat Mathers, of Sikeston.

A son, Robert D. Eaton preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel with the Rev. Kurt Schuermann officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
