Gladys Bell (Shelton) Tipton

Gladys Bell Tipton, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Gladys was born on October 24, 1940, to John and Ona Shelton in Steele, Missouri.  She married Harold Dean Tipton in September of 1962 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Gladys was of the baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Gladys was a hard worker her entire life, retiring from multiple job positions. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family.

Gladys is survived by one son, Kevin (Tina) Tipton of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Gladys (Bryan) Robertson of Williamsville, Missouri, and Tracy (Tim) Morris of Houston, Texas; one sister, Alma Sue (George) Howell of Poplar Bluff; one brother, William (Kay) Shelton of St. Louis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gladys was preceded by her parents; husband; one son, Dennis Tipton; one sister and four brothers.

A graveside committal service will be held Monday, August 30, 2021, at 11:00am at Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Pastor Jim Schremp will be officiating the service.
