Gladys Charline (Dorris) Scott

Gladys Charline Scott, 82, of Poplar Bluff, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Gladys was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Ellsinore. Missouri, the daughter of William and Nellie (Davis) Dorris. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Number 0029. Gladys also enjoyed playing bingo, planting flowers, and working in the yard, and loved fishing and camping with family and friends. She was a loving wife and a kind friend to all.

On June 5, 1961, she married Robert Gene Scott in Poplar Bluff.  Together they shared over 60 years of marriage.

Gladys is survived by one brother, Ray Dorris of East Prairie, Missouri, one sister-in-law Wilma Rains of Poplar Bluff, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, her parents and siblings Jean Laster, June Tune, Glen Dorris, Willie Dorris, Maxine Dorris and James Dorris.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 pm Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating
