Gladys M. Casey

Gladys Myron Casey, 95, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at the Manor, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Casey was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Butler County. She was a member of the South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church and retired from Montgomery Ward, of Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Casey enjoyed spending time with her family, and sewing and quilting.

On May 13, 1927, she married Jess Casey. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1992.

Survivors include four daughters, Wilma Mayfield, of Glen Carbon, Ill., Wanda Rickman, of Poplar Bluff and Darlene Fortner, of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Margaret Mitchell, of St. Peters, Mo.; two sons, Tommy Casey and Dewayne Casey, both of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Keith Luke officiating and the Rev. Edwin Runyon assisting.
