Gerald D. Brown, 68, of Florissant, formerly of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Oct. 30, 2007 at Christian Hospital Northeast, in St. Louis.
Mr. Brown was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Qulin. He was a member of Florissant General Baptist Church, was a retired minister and for the past 20 years had worked as groundskeeper for a private family, in Florissant. Mr. Brown enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.
On Jan. 7, 1962, he married Judith Ellen Soens. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, Mark Brown, of Dellwood, Mo. and Phillip Brown, of Savannah, Mo.; and brothers, Ed Brown, of Flint, Mich. and Louie Brown, of Maplewood, Mo.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Kevin Causey officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery, in Broseley.
