Georgie Fay (Wallis) Barks

Georgie Fay Barks, 67, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Georgie was born on July 19, 1954, to George and Emma (Reed) Wallis in Poplar Bluff.

Georgie attended Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed collecting antique cookie jars and furniture. She liked to bike, garden, and be outdoors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Georgie is survived by one son, Christopher (Amber) Barks of Madison, Alabama; three brothers, Gary Wallis of Encintas, California, Nelson (Karen) Wallis of Poplar Bluff, Randy (Gwen) Wallis of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Valerie (Terry) Lawrence of Harviell, Missouri; three granddogs, Gideon, Jasper, and Kitty; many nieces and nephews.

Georgie was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Rebekah Lawrence.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 12:00-1:00pm at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by funeral service beginning at 1:00pm with officiating by Pastor Kenneth King. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Brain Research Foundation.
