Evamae Morgan

Evamae Morgan, 82, of Poplar Bluff, died May 25, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Morgan was born May 11, 1925 in Poplar Bluff to the late John William and Florence (Dalton) Dennis. She was an active member of the First Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, reading, and crossword puzzles. She lived in the Twin Towers for over 40 years and recycled newspapers and sent articles that pertained to that family and made many friends by performing this act of kindness.

On March 24, 1945 she was married to James Isaac Morgan and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are 9 children, Florence Bailey and husband Jr. of Poplar Bluff; Dennis Morgan and wife Billie of Indianapolis, IN; Nancy Cochran of Poplar Bluff; Emmett Morgan and wife Debbie of Poplar Bluff; Susan Looney of Kingston, OK; Ruth Ann Davis of Florida; Helen Schied and husband Gary of Plainfield, IL; Rose Mary Morgan of Poplar Bluff and Becky Morgan of Poplar Bluff; 25 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one sister Mildred Dennis of Poplar Bluff.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by one brother, John L. Dennis.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
