Eva F. Kirk

Eva F. Kirk, 95, of Patterson, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at DePaul Hospital, in St. Louis.

Mrs. Kirk, daughter of the late Lonzy Lee and O'dessa (Chezem) Duncan, was born Sept. 9, 1911, in Dexter, Mo. She attended Halloran High School District No. 19 before it merged with the Poplar Bluff High Schools. After working for Carter Carburetor, in St. Louis for 29 years she retired to the Patterson/Piedmont area. Mrs. Kirk was a member of the Greenville Church of Christ. Energetic and resilient, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends and baking perfect rolls which she loved to share with everyone. She lived a long and beautiful christian life and will be greatly missed.

In 1942, she married Ora Kirk, in St. Charles. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1995.

Mrs. Kirk is survived by a special niece, Edith Wood, of St. Louis.

A sister, Opal Gardner and a niece Lee Etta Wood also preceded Mrs. Kirk in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the chapel, with Mr. Vernon Curry officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
