Ester Louise (Johnson) Cooper

Ester “Louise” Cooper, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Tuesday November 1, 2022.

She was born July 15, 1929, in Corning, Arkansas to Edna and Harry Johnson. Louise loved her family, traveling and reading. For many years she enjoyed living at the Lake of the Ozarks and in Florida.

On September 30, 1949, she married Calvin Cooper who proceeded her in death on December 13, 1994.

Louise is survived by her two children, Mark Cooper of St. Charles, and Tamara Cooper of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Kalie (Deric) Kalamitsiotis, Brant (Hillari) Heitgerd and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Irma McVey of Poplar Bluff and Dorlis McKinney of Fairdealing.

She was preceded in death by one sister Lucille Smith Politte and three brothers Harry W. Johnson, Perry Johnson, and Milford Johnson.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2022, beginning at 10:00 am at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11:00 am. The Rev. Byron Beck will officiate. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery in Corning, Arkansas.
