Eric Simmons

Eric Wayne Simmons, 45 of Poplar Bluff passed away suddenly on September 11, 2020 in Edwardsville, IL

Eric was born September 17, 1974 to Louis Simmons and Karen Queen, in Wurzburg, Germany.

On October 26, 2002 he was united in marriage to Angela Wagganer in Poplar Bluff, MO.   She survives.

Eric was manager of the RNR Tire Express in Poplar Bluff.  He attended the Palace of Praise Church.  He enjoyed hunting with his father-in-law, watching Yankee baseball, Alabama football, watching his nephews play sports, playing darts, attending music concerts, and his most favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends.  In his spare time, you would find his loyal pups; Baylie, Layla and Bubba by his side.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife; Angela, mother;  Karen Queen, father; Louis Simmons, step-father; Floyd Queen, father-in-law; Lenard Wagganer and wife Kim, mother-in-law Karen Wagganer, grandmother; Charlene Hicks, sister; Melissa Kelly and husband Bill, brother-in-law Chris Wagganer and wife Kerrie, step-sisters; Julie Vichitthanarurk and husband Komol, Kristy Hargis and husband Doug, uncle, Kent Leonard, Deb and family, uncle Brad Simmons and Emy, aunt Ladena Spurgeon and family, aunt Joelane Little and family, aunt Peggy Coen and family, nieces and nephews Chelsea Simmons, Kameron and Braden Kelly, Emily Applegate, Ryan and Macie Hargis, Jacob and Kylie Vichitthanarurk of Thailand, Braiden and Madelynne Wagganer; great nieces Kynsleigh Simmons and Hadley Erwin; honorary nephews Ethan Muse, Nolan Dennis, Christopher Cozort; niece Elizabeth Dennis, his beloved pets, Baylie, Layla, and Bubba, as well as many special friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Cecil and Agnes Little, paternal grandparents; Louis B. Simmons and La Donne Hancock, Bud and Norma Egger, step-mother Sheryl Simmons, step-father-in-law; Ben Woolard, uncles Roland and Loren Little, Lynn Dale Simmons, cousin; Steven Leonard and best friend; Danny Boswell.

There will be a memorial service 1 pm  Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Palace of Praise Church 1400 Herschel Bess Blvd    Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 with Bishop Kent Miller and Associate Pastor Randy West officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff.
