E.L. 'Lee' Kearbey, Jr.

E.L. “Lee” Kearbey, Jr, 68, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Lee was born June 9, 1954, in Poplar Bluff to E. Leroy Kearbey Sr. and Nancy Mae (Files) Kearbey. On August 12, 1973, he married Karen Sue Caringer.

After retiring from the family-owned Kearbey Ford Tractor & Recreational Vehicles he opened Kearbey’s Farm Market, where he raised the best strawberries in Missouri. He was a loving husband, dad, and papa, whose life revolved around his family.

Survivors include his wife Karen, son Lee (Jen) Kearbey III, daughters Kara Kearbey and Kelly Kearbey, grandsons Elijah Bounds and Kaden Johnson, granddaughters Aliyah Bounds, Whitney and Mariah Kearbey, and Aubrey and Lorynne Johnson, and great-granddaughter Nalani Bounds.

His parents and a brother Daniel Kearbey preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Friday, June 9th with a Celebration of Life following at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. Pastor Brandon Spain and Pastor Monty Flanigan will officiate.
