Ella Mae Selvidge

Ella Mae ""Bobbie"" Selvidge, 80, of Poplar Bluff passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Selvidge was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Selvidge was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, of Tampa, Fla. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and working in her beautiful yard.

On Aug. 13, 1945, she married Thurman P. ""Pete"" Selvidge, in Ark. He survives.

Other survivors include son, Mark P. Selvidge and wife Linda Sue, of Whitley City, Ky.; granddaughter, Rhiannon E. Selvidge, of Whitley City, Ky.; nieces, Gerry Webb, of Placerville, Calif., Frankie Sullivant, of Shreveport, La., and Beth Waites, of Piedmont.

Her parents, William M. and Mary W. (Buelteman) Gibbs, sisters, Katherine Foster and Margaret Curry and brother, William Gibbs preceded her in death.

An Order of the Eastern Star Service will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff with visitation following until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
