Eldon C. Luck, 88, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at his residence.
Mr. Luck was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith and had retired as a worker in the lumberyards of Metz Lumber Co., Meeks Lumber Co. and Gamblin Lumber Co. Mr. Luck had also served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
On Aug. 15, 1959, he married Pansy J. Kearbey, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Clara Rubel, Lawrence Luck, of Columbia and James Luck, of Poplar Bluff; a stepdaughter, Darlina Tozzio, of Tulsa, Okla.; two stepsons, Donald Kearbey and Leo Kearbey, both of Poplar Bluff; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His parents, Samuel Monroe and Clara Ellen (Gosset) Luck, a stepson, Eddie Kearbey, a granddaughter and three siblings preceded Mr. Luck in death.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
