Douglas (Doug) Jay Harwell

Douglas (Doug) Jay Harwell born on April 14, 1966 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 55.

Doug was the son of J.C and Betty Sue (Thornton) Harwell, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Doug was a member of Fellowship Southern Baptist Church.  He enjoyed going to Cardinals games with his son, watching Gunsmoke, hunting, fishing, barbecuing, spending time with family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.

Doug is survived by his parents; son Matthew Jay Harwell, two brothers Jeff (Marlo) Harwell, Justin (Betsy) Harwell; one niece Britney Harwell- Digges; four nephews Corey (Chayanne) Buffington, Mike Harwell, Mitchel Harwell, Hunter Harwell; three great nephews Montana Buffington, James Buffington, Jayden Digges; two great nieces Kaylee Digges and Haylee Digges.

Doug was proceeded in death by one sister Pamela Suzette Harwell Buffington; grandparents Willard and Maxine Thornton, Bowman and Irene Thrift, Fred Martin Harwell and Gertrude Harwell.

There will be a graveside service at Three Spring Cemetery on Saturday January 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
