Dorothy Lorene Pratt

Dorothy Lorene Pratt, 80, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Pratt was born March 6, 1927, in Poplar Bluff to the late Dines and Bessie (Pennington) Spradling. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Pratt had also worked as a nurse's aid at The Cedargate and later at Thompson's Nursing Home, where she cared for young people with disabilities.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Alford, of Festus and Carolyn Hardesty and husband Bill, of Poplar Bluff; a son, Alton Montgomery and wife Bridgett, of Festus; two grandchildren, Melissa Alford and Timothy Alford, both of Festus; a sister, Bonnie Dicks, of Dexter; and two brothers, Charles Spradling, of Poplar Bluff and Ormal Spradling.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Pete Ruble officiating.
