Dorothy Pauline Penn

Dorothy Pauline Penn, 61, of Sikeston, formerly of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at St. Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau.

Ms. Penn was born Feb. 28, 1946, in Poplar Bluff to the late Paul and Mary Jo (Casto) Penn. She was a member of First Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff and attended the Third Baptist Church as well. Ms. Penn had retired after serving 27 years as an operator with South Western Bell Telephone Co., and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nephews, shopping and talking on the telephone.

Survivors include her sister, Carol Lawrence and husband Dennis, of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Ray Gene Penn, of Collinsville, Ill., Harold Lee Penn, of Ada, Minn., and Terry Penn and Paul Dale Penn and wife Elena, all of Columbia; 6 nieces, 3 nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
