Dorothy Jean Campbell, 72, of Wappapello, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Campbell was born May 16, 1934, in Double Springs, Ala. She was a member of the Egypt Church and formerly employed with Hoffer Plastics, in South Elgin, Ill. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and a strong supporter of the Wappapello Fire Department.
Survivors include her husband James Miller, of the home; five children, James Miller, Traci Brotherton, and Michael Miller, all of Wappapello, Patricia Hazelwood, of O'Fallon and Sue Jorgensen, of Geneva, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Nadine Brown, of St. Charles, Ill and Elrea Kyzer, of Forest City, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wappapello Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Burchett officiating and the Rev. Sam Brotherton assisting. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, on J Hwy, in Puxico.
