Dorothy L. Barnes

Dorothy L. Barnes, 79, of Poplar Bluff passed away, Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Barnes was born Jan. 27, 1929, near Rombauer, in Butler County. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Barnes enjoyed sewing, needlework and reading.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Barnes, of Sussex, Wisc; one granddaughter,Kelly Wojciechowsky, two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Bethany Wojciechowsky; and her niece and caregivers, Patty Lee and husband Bob, of Dudley.

Her parents, James and Josephine (Carr) Omohundro, and son, Patrick Barnes preceded her in death

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial will be at Rombauer Cemetery, in Butler County.
