Delphia Mae Kingery Bishop

Delphia Mae Kingery Bishop, 84, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bishop was born April 2, 1922, in Ellsinore to the late William and Lena (Dabney) Sollars. She was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Bishop enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, and furnishing dollhouses.

In 1939, she was married to Earl L. Kingery. He preceded her in death, in 1969. In 1972, she married Dr. Delbert Bishop. He preceded her in death, in 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Gayle Kingery and wife Jolene, and Les Kingery and wife Holly, all of Poplar Bluff and Doug Kingery and wife Linda, of Greensboro, Ga.; 9 grandchildren, Nancy Markus and husband Brian, of San Angelo, Tex., David Kingery, Travis Kingery and Hasue Fryer and husband Jeff, all of Denver, Colo., Jonathan Kingery and Mimi Kingery, both of Cape Girardeau. Debra Peed and husband Robert, of Woodstock, Ga., Jeff Kingery and wife Stephanie, of Suwanee, Ga., and Drew Kingery, of Poplar Bluff; 6 great-grandchildren, Nicole Fryer, of Denver, Jesse Lamb and Earl Lamb, of Texas, Mackenzie Peed and Haley Peed, of Georgia and Raury Kingery, of Georgia.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A Memorial Service will follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Cal Nations officiating.
