Dawn Marie Marshall

Dawn Marie Marshall, 47, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Dawn was born on March 12, 1977, to Joe Ryan and Linda Haney in St. Louis, Missouri. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Alvin and Elsie Massey. Dawn married Mark Marshall on April 27, 2018, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Dawn was very artistic and loved to paint. She thoroughly enjoyed live music, traveling, and reading. Dawn was a gifted writer; she wrote countless letters, essays, and advertising scripts over the years. She loved having all her favorite people together, sharing food and laughs. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Dawn is survived by her father, Joe Ryan; husband, Mark Marshall; one daughter, Madalyn Shackelford; three sons, Matthew Dylan Bays, Kyle (Soley) Dugas, and Lawson Carrier; three stepchildren, Ryan Marshall, Ayden Marshall, and Carlee Marshall; three grandchildren, Memphis Bays, Sebastian Bays and Webber Dugas; four sisters, Lorrie (Donald) Wells, Tracy (Chad) Barker, Samantha (Bryan) West, and Kristie Hyman; seven brothers, Richard Massey, Terry Massey, Jimmy (Tyla) Massey, Randy Wagner Jr., Rusty (Liz) Wagner, Joey (Crystal) Ryan and John Ryan; her canine companion, Luke aka Bluke; along with numerous extended family and many friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Elsie Massey; biological mother, Linda Haney; son in infancy, Lane Shackelford.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 10:30a-12:00p at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at noon.
