David L. Ward, 59, of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ward was born June 20, 1948, in Poplar Bluff. He had retired as a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad, and was a member of Westwood Hill Country Club. Mr. Ward was also a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and restoring automobiles.
On April 17, 1980, he married Cynthia Kinder, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Eric Ward, of Kansas City, Mo.; mother, Mary Lou Britton, of Murrieta, Calif.; and sister, Pamela Gillet, of Lebanon, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Forest Church of Christ, 2535 Township Line Road, in Poplar Bluff with Mr. Nathan Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
