David A. Walker

David Atchely Walker, 60, of Poplar Bluff, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at the Des Peres Hospital, in St. Louis.

Mr. Walker was born Oct. 16, 1945, in Poplar Bluff. He was retired from the United States Navy, and a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf.

On Jan. 16, 1970, he married Satoko Tsutsui, in Sasebo, Japan. She survives.

Other survivors include two children, Michael A. Walker and wife Angie, of Poplar Bluff and Stacy Hurt and husband Wayne, of O'Fallon; five grandchildren, Chase Lack, Dylan Lack, Madison Walker, Caleb Hurt and Cody Hurt; a sister, Mary Katherine Beck and husband Charles, of Fenton; and a brother, Stephen Walker, of Jackson.

His parents Jack and Dixie (Hill) Walker and a brother Joseph Walker preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
