Danny F. Kearby, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, in St. Louis.
Danny was born on December 23, 1947, in Bernie, Missouri to the late Vernon and Wilma (Wilson) Kearby. A disabled veteran, Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army and received a Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam.
He was married for 49 years to the love of his life, the late Sharon (Crawford) Kearby until her passing in 2015. In 2016, he found love again and leaves behind a wife, Veronica (Seward) Kearby.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind three children; his daughter Lisa and her husband Dennis Larmie; his son David and his wife Amy; and his son Lance and his wife Kara; eight grandchildren, Zach, Travis, David Kyle, Bethany, Grace, Zander, James and Lance; his two sisters: Deloris Arcelaschi of Connecticut and Donata and her husband Scott Prichard of Florida; as well as Dana O’Dell Capps and Katie Detherage, with whom he shared a family bond.
Known for his ability to talk about anything and everything, Danny’s true passion was old cars. He had a talent in restoring and rebuilding street rods in his spare time. He also enjoyed listening to music from the 50s and 60s as well as fishing and hunting for arrowheads.
A graveside service with full military honors will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Chaplain Rafael Machuca will officiate.
