Curtis Elmer Robb, 85, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Mark Twain Caring Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Robb was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Oxly to the late Elmer Lewis and Audrey Thelma (Hawks) Robb. He was a member of the First Christian Church where he served as an Elder; and had retired in 1983 from Production Credit Association as Assistant Manager and Vice President of the Poplar Bluff and Sikeston offices. Mr. Robb also worked part-time after his retirement for First Community Bank of Poplar Bluff; and held Missouri Real Estate Broker and Appraiser licenses. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Moolah Temple where he served as an ambassador and the former President of the Three Rivers Shrine Club, in 1977. Mr. Robb also served as Butler County Democrat of-the-year. A World War II veteran of the United States Navy, he was awarded the Victory Medal, an American Area Ribbon, an Asiatic Pacific Ribbon and a Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
On Sept. 27, 1940, he married Faye L. Settles, in Naylor. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters: Sandra Robb Epley and husband, Jack, of Greenville, South Carolina, Gale Robb Senn and husband, Bill, of Houston, Texas and Wanda Robb Ormsby and husband, Bob, of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren, Monica, Jason, Meghan, Maren, Rebekkah, Jessica, Chris and Maria.
A Masonic service will begin at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff, with the visitation following at 6:30 P.M. The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Steven Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Naylor Masonic Cemetery.
