Connie Mack DeCourley, 59, of Poplar Bluff, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in Tunica, Miss.

Mr. DeCourley was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Cooter, Mo. to the late James Claude and Maggie M. (Patterson) DeCourley. He was of the Baptist faith and the manager of Train Operations Practices for Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. DeCourley was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam; a 32nd Degree Mason as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge 209, in Poplar Bluff; and a member of Westwood Hills County Club where he previously served on the board. He was also an avid golfer.

On June 4, 1983, he married Joan Burress, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include four children, Stacey DeCourley, of Shiloh, Ill., James Robert DeCourley and wife Cassandra, of Cape Girardeau, Jason R. Morgan, of Poplar Bluff and Christopher L. Massey, of Wardell; four grandchildren, Brandon T. Hunt, Harley Nicole DeCourley, Brandon L. Massey and Lauren Elizabeth Massey; three sisters, Carrie Semmes, of Memphis, Tenn., Velma Craine, of Cape Girardeau and Ollie Rice, of Poplar Bluff; and two brothers, Lloyd DeCourley and Howard DeCourley, both of Fisk; and his father-in-law, Hershel Burress, of Holland, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel, with the Rev. John Dunnivan officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, at Steele, Mo.
