Clifton Harold Presson

Clifton Harold Presson, 83, of Wappapello, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Presson was born Jan. 14, 1928 in Kennett, Mo. He was of the Church of Christ faith, and had retired from Borg Warner Company. Mr. Presson enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, gardening and fishing.

In 1967, he was married to Ruby Chisom. She survives.

Other survivors include 5 children, Lorrie Moeckli and Jodie Cochran both of Wappapello, Phyllis Burgess and Lonnie Presson both of Rockford, Ill. and Lisa Jones; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Perline Baynes of Columbia, Mo., Ovilia Peterson of California and Doris Sowell of Poplar Bluff.

A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello, Mo. with Mr. Ray Sowell officiating.
