Clifford William Cozort

Clifford William Cozort, 61, of Poplar Bluff, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cozort was born Jan. 29, 1945, in Poplar Bluff to the late Clifford M. and Ora (Joiner) Cozort. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff and had retired from the Chrysler Corp. Mr. Cozort enjoyed spending time with his family. An avid artist, he planned and directed the mural at Doctor's Hospital, in Poplar Bluff and had many pieces of his art represented in art shows around the country.

On Nov. 13, 1965, he married Paula Bennett, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include sister, Susan Cozort, of Poplar Bluff; brother, Milburn Cozort, of Poplar Bluff; brothers-in-law, Leon Bennett and wife Wanda and Jerry Westerfield; sister-in-law, Connie Johnston; and 22 nieces and nephews, Tara Hobbs, Scott Johnston, Doug Bennett, Angela Wisdom, Michelle Cook, Todd Johnston, Reginald Westerfield, Lee Hobbs, Ashley Hobbs, Jordan Payne, Trevor Bennett, Tori Johnston, Abby Johnston, Marina Johnston, Seth Johnston, Rhianna Johnston, Alexa Cook, Demi Wisdom, Lucy Cook, Dace Wisdom, Audrey Johnston and Lauren Hobbs.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
