Claude Henry Allen

Claude Henry Allen, 77, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at The Manor, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Allen was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Butler County. He was of the Protestant faith, and was a self-employed handyman. Mr. Allen was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed gardening, and fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a sister, Freda Phillips, of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Lyman Allen, of Toppenish, Wash. and Carlos Allen, of St. Charles; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, Robert and Jennie (Bounds) Allen, brother, Franklin Allen and sisters, Mabel Templemire and Viola Smith preceded Mr. Allen in death.

A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at Little Brushy Cemetery, in Wappapello with the Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating.
