Cheryl Ann (Mcqueen) Olic

Cheryl Ann Olic, 75, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away peacefully in her home, on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

Cheryl was born on July 24, 1949, to Merland Dale McQueen and Vivian Ester Peters in Chicago, Illinois.

Cheryl was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. She proudly served in the United States Air Force in 1967 and received the National Defense Service Medal. Cheryl enjoyed crafting and piddling around her home. She also liked to garden, read, attend church, and visit with friends. Cheryl had a master’s degree in teaching and was an educator for many years at Eugene Field Elementary and O’Neal Elementary in Poplar Bluff.

Cheryl is survived by five nieces, Christina McMillian of Andersonville, TN, Becky Benoit of Bourbonnais, IL, Dawn Kleber of Momence, IL, Regina Sebesta of Wisconsin, and Kelli Harris of Doniphan, MO; her longtime friend and significant other, Gerald Page; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Clarence Landeweer; and two sisters, Karen Zarobsky and Susan Elliott.

Memorial service to be held at a later date. Cheryl will be interred at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
