Charles R. Fiske

Charles R. ""Sonny"" Fiske, 73, of Poplar Bluff, died March 28, 2008 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Fiske was born August 12, 1934 in Butler County, Mo. He was a retired Master Plumber at Fiske Plumbing. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Fiske was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Shriners, Aad Grotto Lodge, Amvets, and enjoyed archery shooting and hunting..

On February 3, 1956 he was married to Madelene E. Kinnamore in Butler County and she preceded him in death January 21, 2007.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Julie Middleton and husband Gary of Springfield, Oregon, Lydia J. Crites and husband John of Qulin, 1 son Thomas Fiske and wife Chris of Poplar Bluff; 5 grandchildren, Elijah Hill, Gabrielle Itkis, Joshua Frey, John Crites III, and Parker Charles Crites; 1 great granddaughter, Madelene Itkis; 1 brother, Joe D. Fiske and wife Fran of Poplar Bluff; 4 sisters, Judy Austin of Broseley, Charlene Morgan and husband Johnny of Dexter, Iva Isom of Neelyville and Sue Deaton and husband Orin of Gillette, Wyoming; and 2 sisters-in-law, Joyce Fiske of Poplar Bluff and Carlotta Fiske of Rombauer.

Preceding Mr. Fiske in death were his parents, Charles E. and Deloris B. (Fenton) Fiske, 3 brothers, Carl E. Fiske, Johnny Fiske and James Fiske, and 2 brothers-in-law, Greg Austin and Franco Isom.

Visitation will be at 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gilbert officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery.
