Charles Richard Faughn

Charles Richard (Rick) Faughn, 66, of Wappapello, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Southeast Missouri Hospital, in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Faughn was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church, and previously employed with Mingo Job Corp he later retired from the Job Corp Center, in Treasure Lake, Okla. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of V.F.W. Post 3416, in Wappapello. Mr. Faughn enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, listening to country music and dancing.

Survivors include his father, Ruben Lee Faughn, of Poplar Bluff; sister, Frances Marie Reedel and husband Richard, of Duncan, Okla.; two brothers, Donald Faughn and wife Sherry, of California, Mo. and Dennis Faughn and wife Faye, of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His mother, Alma Sally (Prenzel) Faughn, two sons, Shane Faughn and Carey Faughn and an infant sister, Anna Louise Faughn preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Keith Luke officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
