Charles H. Denney

Charles Denney, 79, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at his residence.

Charles was born to Haskell and Laura Smith Denney on January 30, 1949 in Crawford County, MO.  He and Frances Maxine were married April 20, 1973 in Poplar Bluff. Charles spent his lifelong career as a school bus driver for the Poplar Bluff School System for 33 years. He had a special love for his car, a Buick Riviera, that he enjoyed taking to car shows.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, Charles is survived by a son, Charles (Charlie) Denney Jr.; two brothers, Richard Denney of Poplar Bluff, and Dale Denney of Elsinore; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 form 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Cotrell Funeral Service.  A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM in the Gresham Cemetery with the Rev. Rick White officiating.
