Cecil Johnson, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Poplar Bluff. He had retired as an auto mechanic for Childress Chevrolet Co. in Poplar Bluff, and was a veteran of the United States Navy where he was awarded a Victory Medal, American Medal, Asia Pacific Ribbon and PJIL Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Johnson enjoyed spending time with his family, and fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Jordan and Andrea Jordan, both of Poplar Bluff; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lela McDonald, of Peoria, Ill.; and two brothers, Frankie Johnson and Carney Johnson, both of Poplar Bluff and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery, in Bloomfield.
Cotrell Funeral Service, of Poplar Bluff is in charge of the arrangements.
