Catherine Evelyn (Glad) Gutterman

Catherine Evelyn Gutterman, 94, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Sunday, June 06, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Catherine was born on October 30, 1926, to Mike and Katherine Glad in Johnston City, Illinois. She married John Clay Gutterman on June 8, 1946, in Johnston City, Illinois.

Catherine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, growing flowers, gardening, going to the sewing room, and loving on her cat “Princess”.

Catherine is survived by two daughters, Susan Mathis and Mary (Dennis) Taylor; three sons, John (Glenda) Gutterman, Charles (Peggy) Gutterman, and Glenn (Ruth) Gutterman all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandsons, Dennis Taylor Jr., and Matt Mathis; son-in-law, Wesley Mathis; and one sister, Mary (Tony) Puchkoris.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 10, 2021, from 11:00am-12:30pm at Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Catholic Funeral Mass will also be on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff at 1:00pm with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
