Catherine (Moore) Almond

Catherine Moore Almond, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, peacefully passed away with her devoted daughter by her side on the evening of April 18, 2023.

Catherine was born on February 15,1933, to William and Nettie Lee (Campbell) Moore in Hope, Arkansas.

Catherine was a retired homemaker. She was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. In her early years she loved caring for her family, keeping a tidy home, sewing, and solving crossword puzzles. She was so loved and will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and her loyal and loving Standard Poodles Jasper and Beck.

Catherine is survived by her daughter, Karen Almond Beers and granddaughter, Brittany Beers of Poplar Bluff, her former husband, Donald R. Almond, of Sherwood, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nettie Moore, her brothers, Louis, David, and Robert Moore. Her sisters, Gracie Price, Louise Weeden, Ruby Jaco, her twin sister Josephine Courtney and her beloved Silky Terrier, Belle.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Monday, April 24, 2023, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
