Carolyn Joan (Lawson) Warren

Carolyn Joan Warren, 81, of Jackson, Missouri, formerly Poplar Bluff, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Carolyn was born on March 31, 1941, to Donald and Geneva (Johnson) Lawson in Neelyville, Missouri. She married Bert Lee Warren Sr. on March 7, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Carolyn was of the Baptist faith. She thoroughly enjoyed many hours of card games and dominoes with her mother, granddaughter, and other family members. Carolyn retired from Smiley Container Corp. after 30+ years of service. She liked to garden and bowl. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by one son, Bert (Billie) Warren of Jackson, MO; one granddaughter, Sara (Tim) Lee of Green Bay, WI; one great granddaughter, Hannah Lee; one sister-in-law, Mary Lawson; three nephews, Jim (Holly) Lawson, Jerry (Kelly) Lawson, and Ron Pickard; two nieces, Holly Farley and Kellie (Glen) Adcock; she is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bert Lee Warren Sr.; parents; three brothers, Don, Jerry, and Bill Lawson; one sister-in-law, Glenda Lawson

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 1:00-1:30pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow, beginning at 1:30pm with Pastor Jim Schremp officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
