Billy A. Furlong, 69, of Poplar Bluff, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Furlong was born March 9, 1937, in Charleston, Mo. He was a mobile home salesman, a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict and Post Commander of the Amvet Lodge 29.
Suvivors include his daughter, Joy Furlong, of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren, David Marren and Cassandra Furlong, both of St. Charles; and four sisters, Alberta Davis, of East Prairie, Mo., Mavis Almon, of Charleston, Mo., Marcella Holmes, of Kevil, Ky. and Lorene Watie, of Van Buren, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel. Interment with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery, in Bloomfield.
