Bill Spell, 57, of Poplar Bluff, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 near Poplar Bluff as the result of injuries received in an auto accident.

Mr. Spell was born May 12, 1949, in Naylor. He was of the Baptist faith and employed at Nordyne as a brazier. Mr. Spell enjoyed hunting and joking with everyone he knew.

Survivors include his mother Phillis Spell, of Fairdealing; his sister, Elaine Spell, of Edmond, Okla.; three brothers Paul Spell and wife Patricia, of Cadet, Mo., Ron Spell and wife Darlene, of Sikeston and Ken Spell, of Miami, Fla.; and four nieces, two nephews, six grand-nieces and four grand-nephews.

His wife Loretta Spell and father Edward C. Spell preceded Mr. Spell in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Bud Goins officiating. Burial will be at the Fairdealing cemetery.
