Beverly Joan (Smith) Broege

Beverly Joan Broege, 85, of Poplar Bluff passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home.

Beverly was born on October 18, 1935, to Robert and Ruby Smith in Charles City, Iowa. She married Keith Broege on March 25, 1953, in Charles City, Iowa.

Beverly was a member of the Poplar Bluff congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her biggest joy in life was caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, and sharing her faith with others.

Beverly is survived by three daughters, Robin (Leon) Harper of Poplar Bluff, Terry Rhyne of Poplar Bluff, and Sherry (Bud) Tomlin of Williamsville; five sons, Keith "Skeet" (Kathy) Broege Jr. of Fairdealing, Michael Broege Sr. of Poplar Bluff, Jeffrey Broege of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mark Broege of Poplar Bluff, and Steven (Sheri) Broege of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters, Joyce Schmidtke and Rozella (Bruce) Melancon; one brother, Ray "Skippy" Smith; nineteen grandchildren, Lora Johnston, Rene Johnston, Keith Broege III, Christy Broege, Tiffany Broege, Stephanie Broege, Tisha (Nic) Stelken, Alan Rowcliffe, Amanda (Jimmy) Coonce, Michael (Ashlee) Broege Jr., Cassandra Broege, Stormi (Tony) Lepold, Kirsten Broege, Mark (Cathy) Broege Jr., Daniel (Angela) Broege, Landis Broege, Steve Broege Jr., Jessica (Nathan) Means, and Jenna Broege; Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Theodore "Ted" Broege and John Christopher Broege; one grandson, Theodore “Tedder” Broege Jr.; one sister, Patricia Coen; three brothers, Gary Smith, Bill Smith, Robert Smith Jr.; one son-in-law, Charles Rhyne.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by funeral service beginning at noon with officiating by Brother Jearl Griffin. Burial will take place at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
