Betty Jean (Boyers) Webb

Betty Jean Webb, 93, of Hopedale, Illinois, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Hopedale Nursing Home.

Born September 11, 1930, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Byrd and Hettie (Sparkman) Boyers, she married John Webb, Jr. on June 5, 1949, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He died September 18, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Garry Webb; one daughter, Zoeanna Liss and five siblings, Virginia Crites, Dorothy Dowd, Mildred Worley-Alford, Ben Boyers and Ruth Boyers.

Surviving are three sons, John (Christie) Webb of Pekin, Illinois, Jeff (Heather) Webb of Cross Hill, South Carolina, and Christopher (Annette) Webb of Ellsinore, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Meredith Boyers of Poplar Bluff.

A homemaker, Betty enjoyed antiquing and going to rummage sales.  She also loved quilting and sewing; hand-piecing or quilting more than 300 quilts!

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral will follow beginning at 11:00 with Pastor William McDowell officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Sparkman Cemetery.
