Betty Jean (Farley) Regg

Betty Jean Regg, 79, of Wappapello, MO, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at Westwood Hills Healthcare.

Betty was born on January 29, 1945, to Willard and Helen (Smith) Farley in Poughkeepsie, New York. She married Frederick L. Regg Sr. on May 06, 1967, also in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Betty was a dedicated wife and mother. She was also a hard-working employee for International Business Machines (IBM) for nearly 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed baking and caring for others. She brightened the lives of all those who encountered her. Throughout her life Betty endured many ups and downs, to include battling cancer not once but twice; but she was never one to complain. She was a fighter and remained positive until the end. Betty also liked completing puzzles, reading, and sewing. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies and Charlie.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy McDaniel; three sisters, Helen Christensen, Joan Podloski, and Barbara Them; four grandchildren, Perry M. McDaniel, Christina Garcia, Catherine Smith, and Lane McDaniel; three great-grandchildren, Kyson Garcia, Brylee Smith, and Renlynn Smith; her canine companion, Charlie; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Willard C. Farley Jr. and Robert Farley.

A gathering will be held on Friday, January 24, 2024, from 11:00a-12:00p at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Memorial service will follow beginning at Noon with Pastor Ken Hare officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri.
