Betty Jo (Richardson) Head

Betty Jo Richardson Head, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in Marble Hill, Missouri at the age of 93.

She was born on August 21, 1929, in Poplar Bluff to Ernest and Cora (Pierce) Richardson. Betty graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1947.

In 1953 she married R. Head. To this union two sons and three daughters were born.

Betty attended First General Baptist Church. She enjoyed picture puzzles and crossword puzzles.  Her most cherished times were spent with her family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters, as well as daughters Rhonda Sue Miller and Barbara Ellen Class.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall (Hashmoon) Head of Ellington, Missouri, and Randy (Loretta) Head of Marble Hill, and daughter Rose (Darrel) Rowland of Graham, Washington.

Betty is also survived by seven grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Cassie, Kim, Bob, Suellen and Nyles, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Rombauer Cemetery, in Rombauer, Missouri. Her grandson, Pastor Nyles Head will officiate.
