Bertram Kenneth Crouse

Bertram Kenneth Crouse, 92, of Poplar Bluff was called home to glory by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 13, 2007.

Mr. Crouse, son of the late Clarence and Henrietta Crouse, was born April 5, 1915, in Youngstown, Ohio. He owned and operated his own business for many years; and was a mechanic and machinist. Mr. Crouse proudly served in the United States Navy on the Battleship USS Pennsylvania. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, being outdoors and tinkering and creating things.

On June 19, 1956, he married Thelma Lowery, in Montebello, Calif. She survives.

Other survivors include his son, Richard Crouse and wife Tammy, of Poplar Bluff; close friends, Kathy Comer, of Poplar Bluff, Pete and Beverly Dillard, of Morro Bay, Calif. and Dennis and Janet Costello, of Fresno, Calif.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Doug Osborn officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
