Barbara "Barb" Sue Abbott

Barbara “Barb” Sue Abbott, 76, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, January 21, 2024, at Winchester Nursing Home in Bernie, Missouri.

Barbara was born on December 19, 1947, to Kelvey Houston Abbott and Clarice Mae Nixon Robertson in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Roy Roberston.

Barbara was born and raised in Poplar Bluff where she attended Rock Creek School. She was of the Pentecost faith and a proud member of the Crossroads Ministries.

Barbara was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved with all her heart and always kept people in her prayers.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Anna Darko Abbott Hayes; brother, Monte Lee Abbott Sr.; two grandchildren, Sarah Noel Ursery and Nicholas Alan Ursery; three great grandchildren, Harley Mcculley, Aiden Mcculley and Rillie Ursery.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tonna Sue Ursery; four sisters, Ola Campbell, Elizabeth Wicks, Fern Berry, and Viola Henderson; two brothers, Jim and Billy Abbott.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 10:30-11:00am at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Reverend Jimi Waggoner. She will be placed in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery next to her mother.
