Barbara Ann (Whaley) Leslie

Barbara Ann (Whaley) Leslie of Trophy Club, Texas, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 10th, 2023. at the age of 87 at her home.

Barbara was born May 13, 1935, to Marvin and Effie (Cochran) Whaley in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a 1952 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and had retired from General Medical Supply. Barbara was a member of Lone Hill Baptist Church and a past member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed making crafts, playing music, fishing, camping, and traveling.  Barbara greatest joy was serving her Lord and spending time with her family.

She married the love of her life Wilmot Earl Leslie on June 20, 1954, in Butler County, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2008, after celebrating 54 years of marriage.

She is survived by her brother, Gene Whaley; two children; Dane Leslie of Sunset Hills, Missouri, and Karen (Leslie) Pepper of Trophy Club, Texas; 4 grandchildren; Tiffani, Travis, Lauren and Ashley, and five great grandchildren; Ty, Camren, Chase, Brooke and Maral.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with a Celebration of Life following at 2 pm. Inurnment will take place at Kinsey Cemetery in Harviell, Missouri.
