Rev. Archie C. Medley, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Rev. Medley was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Cedar Hill, Mo., and had retired from the Missouri Natural Gas Co. Rev. Medley had also pastored at numerous Baptist churches in the surrounding area, and was presently a member of Westwood Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. Rev. Medley was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed nature. He was also a concerned and active member in his community.
On Nov. 25, 1943, he married Melba Mae Ennis, in St. Clair. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Ella Louise Medley, of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Virginia Michie, of Bowling Green, Mo.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Westwood Baptist Church, 2445 No. Westwood Blvd. in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Jim Osborn and the Rev. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
