Anna Marie Thompson, 82, of Poplar Bluff died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 at the St. Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Thompson was born May 9, 1924, in Elyria, Ohio to the late Robert and Ruth Marie (McLaughlin) Miller, Sr. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Nintendo games, doing needlework, putting puzzles together and loved gospel music.
On Dec. 5, 1942, she married Daniel O. Thompson, in St. Louis. He survives.
Other survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Dry, of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Shannon K. Valencia, of Los Angeles, Calif., Nathan Daniel Valencia, of Mt. View, Calif. and Tiffany C. Robinson, stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
A sister, Ethel Rayburn and a brother, Robert Miller Jr. preceded Mrs. Thompson in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel, with the Rev. Jason Healy officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
