Alvada B. Kegin, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her residence.
Mrs. Kegin was born March 7, 1922, in Broseley. She was of the Baptist faith, was a member of the Eastern Star, and had retired as a supervisor for Director Distributing Association, Inc. Mrs. Kegin enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, putting puzzles together, sewing, and e-mailing her friends.
On Sept. 29, 1945, she married Francis ""Bud"" Kegin, Jr. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1994.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Phyllis Manns and Richard Mastin, both of Poplar Bluff and Jim Mastin, of Goose Creek, SC; 2 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Laura Smith, of Hoxie, Ark.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel with Pastor Greg Faughn officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn section of the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
