Alma Blanche (Haile) Barger

Alma Blanche Barger, 98, of Poplar Bluff, Mo passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Cedargate Nursing Home.
Mrs. Barger was born July 6, 1916, in Gideon, MO to the late Virgil and Minnie Clark Haile. On December 24, 1936 she married Howard Barger. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barger was of the Baptist faith and had been a homemaker and nurse's aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of children and babies, growing flowers and had a passion for animals, turning most into pets.
Survivors include her son Ed Barger and his significant other Carole Becker, both of Poplar Bluff; four sisters: Wanda Wilcoxson, of Jonesboro, AR, Mildred Black (Olsille) and LaVeda Robbins (Gerald), all of Mississippi, and Joyce Day (Bill) of Florida; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Frisch G. "Larry" Barger; four brothers: Paul, Harold, Woodrow, and Billy Haile; and three sisters: Tess, Oniska, Helen and a stillborn sibling.
Visitation will be at Cotrell Funeral Chapel on Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Charles Richardson.
