Alice Esterlee Miller

April 24, 1907 — March 25, 2008

Alice Esterlee Miller, age 100 and 11 months, of New Franklin, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Golden Hour Retirement Home, in New Franklin.

Mrs. Miller was born April 24, 1907, in Tupelo, Miss. She was a member of First Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Circle, and had retired as a seamstress for Saneco Cleaners, in St. Louis. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being active and volunteering at the Child Concern Center, in Poplar Bluff.

On June 5, 1931 she married Johnnie C. Miller. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1983.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Debra Miller and husband Donnie Lee Romine, of Fayette, Mo. and Sheila Olive and husband Frank, of Wildwood, Mo.

Her parents, Richard T. and Malinda (Mott) Privett and son, Harold Miller also preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Kurt Schuermann officiating. Burial will be at the Doniphan City Cemetery.
